Casa Decor will open its doors again in spring 2024, from 11 April to 26 May, to reveal the latest tendencies in interior design, architecture, design and art. This edition will be held in La Trinidad Palace, a beautiful property at 82, Calle Francisco Silvela, which conserves the noble charm of buildings at that time.
Casa Decor is the sector’s largest and most important exhibition in Spain and Europe, due to its magnitude, duration and media relevance. In 2024, the event will be held in La Trinidad Palace, one of the few private buildings of this category that are still hidden in urban Madrid.
Located in the Salamanca District, at 82, Calle Francisco Silvela, at the junction of María de Molina and Avenida de América, La Trinidad Palace is perched on a 3,600 m2 plot of land, surrounded by gardens, which gives it a certain country character. The main entrance is via ramps that border a circular garden, with a brick and ceramic bench next to a pond.
A square raised garden is next to the façade, with a gravel-slabbed path, dotted with sculptures in the corners, fountains and ceramic benches.
Its late regionalist style, with eclectic influences, particularly from Seville, is striking at a time when modern and functionalist architecture was being imposed on new buildings.
The palace has a wide range of different types of spaces, including the three floors of the small palace, a guest pavilion and the extensive gardens. With a square floor plan, it consists of a semi-basement, ground floor, main floor, second floor and attic in the towers, located diametrically at the front and rear. It is made up of a majestic hall, stately lounges, cabinets, regal alcoves, cantilevered corridors, enclosed terraces, square gardens, fountains, grottoes and even a small oratory or a guest pavilion.
Casa Decor is a communication platform that brings together the three main vertices of the decoration sector: designers, commercial brands and the general public. This event was first held in 1992 with the participation of a group of 43 decorators who were responsible for refurbishing a former convent in Madrid.
44,000 visitors (up 15% on 2022, due to the extended time slots to access the Exhibition) enjoyed the 2023 edition, in which 153 companies and 55 interior design, architecture, design and landscaping studios, 7 artists and 18 artisan workshops participated (50% of which were from abroad).
